Exactly 30 years after the first initiatives to archive the internet, the Wayback Machine is under threat. In Paris, the exhibition UPDATING CODEX engages with these pressing questions of “memory,” “accessibility,” “the urgency of archiving,” “appropriation,” and “data transmission.” The exhibition presents eight artistic explorations that resonate with the fragility of a world striving not to lose its memory.
